academia industry partnership

As it is said, no venture is a single-handed effort of any one individual. In the age of competitive edges and multi-skill requirements, candidates often fall short of demanding industry expectations. Thus, companies feel the pinch of talent shortage. Graduating from premier institutes does not give a guarantee of being adept with working conditions of the corporate world. Classroom knowledge takes a backseat in the era of experiential learning, and so do internships that fade away in comparison to sweating it out in the office 24/7, literally speaking. Industry-academia partnership is the only way forward in a knowledge economy with a vast manpower resource of educated people who do not possess the right employable skills.
